2022 Medical Trip to Senegal
MEDICAL TRIP TO SENEGAL 2022
This video is a summary of our 2022 medical trip to Senegal. We were able to see 427 patients in 4 days, we donated multiple supplies and equipment as well as over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol, ibuprofen, allergy medications, tums, eye drops, ear drops, diabetic oral medications, blood pressure medications, etc. We donated 4 hospital beds and 4 cribs for newborns, a baby warmer, exams tables, exam lamps, chairs, oxygen concentrators, hemoglobin check machine, ultrasound machine, sterilizer, tubings, dressing supplies, scales, etc.
We introduced acupuncture and cupping to the providers and patients, they really liked it, our specialist was able to train the staff with the cupping and left them with some of the equipment to use.
We visited a team center where we donated over 150 reusable hygiene pads to allow girls to continue to go to school during their menstrual periods. We also gave them menstruation bracelets that will allow them to know and be familiar with their menstrual cycles.
We visited the regional hospital around Kanel and donated OTC medications, diabetic and blood pressure medications, as well as pediatric liquid Tylenol and other medical supplies such tubbings, foley bags, dressing supplies, etc.
The cellal team also visited the pediatric cancer center at Dantec hospital, where we donated all of the items from the list provided by their providers. We donated IV Tylenol, steroids, IV fluid, tubings, nausea medications, foley bags, transfusion bags, dressing supplies, etc.
